Team 21Team 21 - an exciting new concept for Ipswich.

Team 21 is a group of volunteers who are prepared to give up their spare time to raise awareness of crime in targeted areas of Ipswich.

The team operates in conjunction with Suffolk Police, Ipswich Borough Council Community Safety team and the local Crime and Disorder Partnership.

It is part of a Home Office and Government Office for the East of England initiative to help reduce the theft of bikes and property from gardens and sheds and raise local awareness of other crime patterns.

Mayor of IpswichThe Mayor of Ipswich, Councillor Inga Lockington took and active role when the team, in their distinctive yellow Team 21 jackets was launched in the Stoke area of Ipswich in March 2008.

She assisted Brenda, Kevin, James and John to distribute over 660 crime prevention leaflets.

If you are interested in joining Team 21 please email iinfo@saferipswich.org.uk
