You
think it will never happen……..
For elderly people, those with physical disabilities or
people on their own, the threat of the unexpected is a constant
worry:
- What
if you fall or suddenly feel ill?
- If
you can't reach the telephone or no-one hears you, how
will you get help?
Ipswich
HEARS, an Ipswich Borough Council alarm service removes
such worries, giving you 24 hour emergency help and reassurance.
How
can we help?
When
you need help, you don't have to worry about picking up
the telephone or dialling a number. You simply press a button
on your neck (or wrist) pendant and the rest is done for
you!
Connected
to your telephone line, your alarm alerts our staff by sending
them your unique HEARS number, so that your name, address,
medical condition, etc. can be automatically displayed on
their computer screen - vital if you are injured or too
ill to speak to them!
Staff
trained in first aid and manual handling (including our
unique lifting cushion) can then be sent out to you night
or day if necessary and your own family, Doctor or other
emergency services can also be contacted.
A
HEARS alarm allows you to remain independent at home. It
is also reassuring to know - for family and friends too
- that help is available 24/7 if you fall and cannot get
up; feel ill; have an accident or need emergency help.

HEARS is recommended by many including Doctors, the Police
